Kids Can Fly is Showcased in Dolly Parton’s Champion Spotlight

When Kids Can Fly announced their campaign this month to raise funds to grow the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Dolly herself was listening!  They have been honoured by being chosen for the Champion Spotlight promotion on the new Imagination Library website.  This spotlight brings attention to those working hard for their community to grow this literacy program.  Note that Imagination Library programs are active across the USA, Canada and in the U.K.

Imagination Library was founded by the County singer and songwriter in 1996 and came to Canada in 2003. The program provides a free, quality children’s books in the mail, monthly to registered children from birth until their 5th birthday.  Kids Can Fly, with funds from the Rotary Club of Brantford Sunrise has offered this program for the past two years and has registered over 300 youngsters.  The Rotary Club of Brantford has also become a sponsor but in order to make this available to all children more money is needed.  It costs $300 a child for five years or $60 for one year.  Anyone interested in sponsoring a child can find donation information at and tax receipts can be issued. There is also the option to donate as a memorial, baby gift, to sponsor your employee’s children etc. You must live within Brant County to be eligible.  Imagine a community where all young children LOVE TO READ!

Kids Can Fly is a registered charity unique to Brant that supports early learning and parenting.
