Super Hero Event raises over $5000!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Super Hero event that took place at Dairee Delite on Monday September 2nd.  This annual fundraiser is fast becoming a much loved tradition for many in the community!

This year was another huge success with over $5000 being raised for the programs that Kids Can Fly runs in the communities of Brantford and County of Brant.

All of the favourite Super Heroes were again in attendance thanks to Whimsical Players and some local Super Hero supporters as well.

Brantford Fire, Police and Paramedics came to show children what real life Super Heroes do and brought some pretty cool stuff with them!

And we can’t forget Chase, Skye, Peppa Pig and Catboy who came to say hello as well.

Dedicated volunteers ran the BBQ, and we can’t forget the delicious ice cream that was well worth the line up.

Megs and Clarke opened their doors and their washrooms to all who attended and Wylde Rose sold items leading up to the event which were made with love by I Can So Sew That.

New this year were games that were so much fun and we can’t wait to add more for next year!

Our friend Randy Papple (Band Aid the Clown) was there as well to make balloon animals, swords or anything else the kids wanted!

Thank you to everyone involved from those responsible to hosting this event, to the volunteers who dedicated their time, to all who attended, and thank you to all of you who dressed up and got in the Super Hero spirit!  See you next year!

Peppermint Mouse raises $1900!

Our very first Peppermint Mouse Shopping Event took place on Friday, November 2 and we would like to thank everyone involved for making it such a success!  We raised $1900, which will place 38 children in our community on the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Program!

Our team of volunteers worked behind the scenes to ensure everything went smoothly and our amazing vendors brought a selection of items that anyone would be thrilled to get for Christmas!

Our elves served hot cider donated by Brantwood Farms and sold festive cookies

A special thank you to our event sponsors: Megs + Clarke and Findlay Law for their support and promotion of this event.

This event was in memory of a friend of Kids Can Fly named Nancy Corke, who held her own Peppermint Mouse every year at her home.  We would like to thank her family for the use of the name for this event and for allowing us to continue this tradition to support a charity that was near and dear to her heart.
