Peppermint Mouse goes online!

We couldn’t let a holiday season pass without our festive vendor sale, so this year, we are hosting our 3rd Annual Peppermint Mouse Holiday Event ONLINE.

From now through November 15, we are running an online silent auction, to encourage our friends and supporters to do some holiday shopping! 100% of all winning bids goes directly to Imagination Library to send books to children in our community

We have some great items donated by some of our familiar Peppermint Mouse vendors, some literary-themed items for the reader on your holiday list, some personalized holiday items, and great gift cards!

Thanks for your support and happy shopping!

Peppermint Mouse raises $3000 for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

The 2019 Peppermint Mouse event was held on November 8th at Woodman Community Centre.  Over 25 vendors came with their products to help shoppers start their holiday shopping, get in a festive mood and support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.  Attendees also had the opportunity to sit and have a coffee, enter a raffle and have a festive picture taken with our life size Dolly cut out.       This event was started in honour of Nancy Corke, a dear friend of Kids Can Fly who held her own Peppermint Mouse event at her home every year and her family allowed us to continue her tradition. Thank you to all of our vendors, shoppers and volunteers for your support and hard work.     This event raised over $3000 for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and will allow 60 children in our community to receive books for a year!

Peppermint Mouse raises $1900!

Our very first Peppermint Mouse Shopping Event took place on Friday, November 2 and we would like to thank everyone involved for making it such a success!  We raised $1900, which will place 38 children in our community on the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Program!

Our team of volunteers worked behind the scenes to ensure everything went smoothly and our amazing vendors brought a selection of items that anyone would be thrilled to get for Christmas!

Our elves served hot cider donated by Brantwood Farms and sold festive cookies

A special thank you to our event sponsors: Megs + Clarke and Findlay Law for their support and promotion of this event.

This event was in memory of a friend of Kids Can Fly named Nancy Corke, who held her own Peppermint Mouse every year at her home.  We would like to thank her family for the use of the name for this event and for allowing us to continue this tradition to support a charity that was near and dear to her heart.
