Kids Can Fly Brantford

Kids Can Fly promotes early childhood development in Brantford/Brant

The Brantford Galaxy Cinemas is the annual home of the event where students over the age of 14 can come and watch movies from midnight to 6am the next day.  For a minimum of $25 in pledges, they’ll get free pop and popcorn all night, a chance to play in the arcade and a choice of 5 different movies to watch.

All of the proceeds benefit Kids Can Fly!

A special prize donated by The Future Shop will go to the person that collects the most pledges and this year, a new trophy will be awarded to the high school that collects the largest amount of money.  All schools are encouraged to spread the word and collect the most pledges for the event. A special thank-you to our media sponsor The Brantford Expositor!

This year’s Midnight Movie Marathon will be held on Friday, February 24, doors open at 11:45pm and movies end around 6:00am on Saturday, February 25.

Watch Taylor Lautner in thriller Abduction.  Abduction is centered on a young man who sets out to uncover the truth about his life after finding his baby photo on a missing persons website.

Watch the hilarious comedy Crazy Stupid Love staring Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Maris Tomei and Kevin Bacon.  Steve Carell plays a middle-aged husband whose life changes dramatically when his wife asks him for a divorce. He seeks to rediscover his manhood with the help of a new-found friend Jacob, learning to pick up girls at bars.

Watch Justin Timberlake star in the Movie In Time.  In a future where people stop aging at 25, but are engineered to live only one more year, having the means to buy your way out of the situation is a shot at immortal youth. Here, Will Salas finds himself accused of murder and on the run with a hostage – a connection that becomes an important part of the way against the system.

Check out Matt Damon, Kate Winslet and Jude Law in Contagion.  A thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak.
Check out James Franco in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. A single act of both compassion and arrogance leads to a war unlike any other — and to the Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The Oscar-winning visual effects team that brought to life the worlds of Avatar and Lord of the Rings is breaking new ground, creating a CGI ape that delivers a dramatic performance of unprecedented emotion and intelligence, and epic battles on which rest the upended destinies of man and primate.

** No alcohol or other questionable items to be allowed inside. Bags will be searched.

The theatre will be locked from 12 midnight until 6:00 a.m. for everyone’s security (Security Guard on site).
