Santa-StoriesOn the evening of December 4, 2025, Cornerstone Capital Financial Group and Kids Can Fly welcomed families into Kids Can Fly’s Launch Pad for our first-ever Santa & Stories event. The energy in the room made it clear right away that this is something special we’ll be doing for years to come.

As families followed the signs and came through the side door at Centennial-Grand Woodlands Public School, they were greeted by a warm, festive space filled with decorations, friendly elves, and plenty of things for little ones to explore. We designed the night to be simple, cozy, and family-focused — a chance for parents and children to slow down together and enjoy a bit of holiday magic with the excitement of a very special guest!

Throughout the evening, families spent time with Santa at a Santa photo station (with free digital downloads from Amanda Sarah Cherish Photography), a Christmas craft table, story time with our elves, holiday-themed sensory play, and open play in the Launch Pad. There were also treats and hot chocolate available for purchase, which added to the cozy atmosphere on a chilly night.

One parent captured the feeling of the event perfectly:

“Santa & Stories was truly magical. The moment we walked in, my girls and I were amazed by the decorations and the love put into the event. Santa’s elves were full of cheer, and the crafts are now on our Christmas tree at home. It’s hard to believe it was the first year — it’s an experience we’ll treasure and hope to return to every year.”

— Sydney Whelan, mom of Rowan & Briar

Each group was asked to complete their circuit within 45 minutes, starting with Santa photos, followed by all other activities. which helped keep the flow comfortable so families could take their time at each station. A family ticket included two adults and two children for $25, with additional children added for $5 each.

Most importantly, the evening supported Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Brantford and the County of Brant, helping us continue to provide free, high-quality books each month to local children from birth to age five.

For a first-year event, we were blown away by the turnout, the feedback, and the genuine joy we saw on so many faces. Special thanks to Cornerstone Capital Financial Group, as well as Amanda Sarah Cherish Photography, Cheeky Treats, and Altitude Coffee Roasters.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Santa & Stories event and helped bring this night to life. At Kids Can Fly we’re already looking forward to making Santa & Stories a holiday tradition for our community.
